Cups for Pups Charity Event – August 7th at Uncle Bears

Cups for Pups August 7th At Uncle Bear's in MesaWhat: Cups for Pups
Where: Uncle Bear’s in Mesa
When: Sunday, August 7th, from 1-5pm

By day, Richard Middaugh is mild mannered Service Advisor at Earnhardt Nissan. By night (and during the day on his days off) he is the co-founder of the American Mustache Institute – Arizona Bureau; a group of mustachioed men dedicated to helping local businesses and charities. Their mission is to “always promote growth (in the community and under their noses) by thinking globally and acting locally”. The AMI-AZB group invites everyone to the 2nd Annual Cups for Pups Fundraiser to raise money for the Valley of the Sun Dog Rescue.

The event will be held on Sunday, August 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Uncle Bears located on the southwest corner of Baseline and Ellsworth in Mesa, Arizona. Uncle Bears is a dog friendly restaurant and bar servicing the Phoenix area.

This year’s Cups for Pups promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s successful event! Uncle Bear’s has agreed to offer happy hour prices from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the proceeds from the sale of beverages and appetizers will go towards the cause. On hand will be local pet friendly businesses and vets who will be offering valuable information on raising healthy pets. Dog trainers will also be on site providing 15 min seminars on training your furry friend. Artificial grass will be laid out for your pets’ comfort as well as live music for all to enjoy. This is truly an event for the entire family, with New York Life providing free Child ID’s as well as tons of prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

To help support the cause, local t-shirt company, Robot Town, has designed and produced The 2nd Annual Cups for Pups men’s t-shirts and ladies tanks. Even if you cannot attend the event at Uncle Bear’s, you can show your support by purchasing a shirt online at the Robot Town website.

Congratulations, Wendy! Keep on running!

Earnhardt Nissan Representing at Pat’s Run

This Saturday, Earnhardt Nissan Internet Sales Fleet Manager, Wendy Bennett will be running in the 4.2 mile Pat’s Run in Tempe. The event kicks off at 7am at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe.

From the Pat’s Run website:

Pat’s Run is the signature fundraising event for the Pat Tillman Foundation. Held annually in April at Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium, the event attracts over 30,000 participants, volunteers and spectators from across the country. Together, they Run, Walk and Honor Pat’s legacy while raising important funds to support the programs created to pay tribute to his commitment to leadership and service.

The 4.2 mile course winds through the streets of Tempe and is staged so that all participants finish on the 42-yard line on Frank Kush Field inside Sun Devil Stadium, symbolic of the #42 jersey that Pat wore while he was a Sun Devil.
